We train all kinds of dogs - big, small, and in between, all ages and all levels of obedience. We offer group, private and in-home lessons, and custom board and train programs designed to meet the needs of you and your canine friend.We can help with most dog related problems from house breaking to aggression problems. Whether you and your dog like to "show your thing" in public in group classes or prefer more personalized instruction with our private lessons, we can accommodate your dog training needs.We also offer specialized training such as AKC Competitive Obedience and Agility. Board and Train School

Alpha Dogs' Board and Train School offers busy pet owners the solution of having a professional train their dog for them. This results-oriented, fully customizable Board and Train program is designed with you and an Alpha Dogs professional to ensure your obedience and behavior modification requirements are achieved during your dog's one to three week stay with us.

The program includes everything your pet needs:

Multiple focused training sessions each day

Quality boarding

Plenty of exercise and playtime on our 35 acres

Personalized care

Three private follow-up lessons ensure a complete understanding of how to maintain your dog's new skills and positive behaviors. Expect impressive results!

1) Basic Obedience Skills and Manners Program - 3 weeks for $1200. Ages 4 months and older.

Upon successful completion of this program, your dog will have a solid understanding of 10 voice commands and hand signals, and perform them while under real world distractions.

Commands learned include: sit/stay 40 minute long down/stay, come to a front sit, heeling and go to your place (40 minute long boundary command).

We also teach social manners such as sitting politely for petting, no jumping, waiting at doorways and before getting in and out of a vehicle, moving out of the way, and leave it.

2) Puppy Imprinting and Socialization Program - 1 week for $425. For puppies aged 10 weeks to 4 months.

Give your puppy a head start in life! There is a special period of learning that occurs during puppyhood, which enables young dogs to quickly absorb information about their world and how to react to it. Each experience defines your puppy's future behavior and dictates how they will respond to humans.

Alpha Dogs' Puppy Program teaches young dogs to see humans as their leader, understand rules and boundaries, and imprints each foundational command upon which all future obedience skills are built.

This all comes together to create a young, confident dog well on its way to becoming your ideal family companion.

Training

Puppy Kindergarten - Program price is $125.

We take great pride in providing this 6-week comprehensive puppy program to new puppy owners.

Each structured class is followed by ample supervised play time for socialization and confidence building. Imprinting for basic commands is covered in addition to discussing problem behavior prevention, proper health care and stress-free grooming techniques.

Ages 10 weeks to 5 months.

8-Week Formal Obedience and Manners Course - This comprehensive program is offered for $185.

Enroll your older puppy or adult dog in this super obedience program designed for the active pet owner. You and your pet will learn foundation commands upon which all future obedience is built.

The course begins with learning each skill in a focused environment. Each command is then proofed while under real world distractions.

We also problem solve misbehaviors.

8-Week Intermediate and Advanced Level Courses - Program price is $185 per 8-week course.

Learn to gain a high level of control while under distraction through our Intermediate and Advanced level programs. Teach your dog to obey commands while off-leash and at a distance

Perform a reliable life-saving emergency down

Come when called in every situation

Gain confidence from learning these and many other new, positive behaviors

Boarding

In-Home Lessons

In-home lessons offer the ideal training environment:

Focused one-on-one sessions to modify misbehaviors,

Teach obedience skills and learn effective leadership techniques.

$80 per lesson in Denver Metro and surrounding areas

$100 per lesson out of area

AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test

Elaine Holt is a certified evaluator of the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test

Alpha Dogs proudly offers the CGC test every six months and as Graduation for the Intermediate and Advanced Level Obedience Courses

4 private lessons to teach each excercise and prepare for the CGC is also available for $320. Please call for details.

AKC's Rally-O (Novice to Excellent) and Companion Dog Title Training

AKC competitive obedience training is offered through personalized instruction. Please call for details.
